ABOUT THE COLLECTION
This three-pair series was created for a wearable art exhibition and explores the relationship between the body and the shoe. Each piece combines physical form with cultural and historical references, using footwear as a way to examine how objects can shape the way we experience and present the body.
Across the collection, the foot is arranged in ways that challenge its natural alignment and movement. The designs investigate how footwear can alter balance and posture, and how the body adapts to an object that simultaneously supports and restricts it.
While each shoe approaches this relationship differently, the collection considers the shoe not simply as an accessory, but as an extension of the body — an object that influences how we stand, move and occupy space.
THE FOOTWEAR
Diana - Part 1
The broken ballerina-toe position and heelless design bring together softness and rigidity, creating a physical tension between the delicate aesthetic and the demanding position of the foot.
Diana - Part 2
Drawing from historical European dress shoes, this award-winning design pushes the relationship between rigid structure and the tailored conventions of formal dress to an extreme.
Diana - Part 3
The final design explores the desire for freedom within restraint. Its open, asymmetric form suggests release, while the body remains shaped by the limits of the shoe.

WEARABLE ART AS A QUESTION
Design does not always need to provide a solution. Wearable art can create space to raise questions without always needing an answer. The value lies precisely in making us look again and wonder what could come next.
