This design, inspired by 19th-century dress shoes, takes the formal elegance of the Victorian era and pushes it into provocative, contemporary territory. The silhouette’s dramatically high arch exaggerates posture, echoing how Victorian fashion once shaped and constrained the body through rigid structures.
A zipper running all the way down the back of the heel underlines the form, recalling both the ritual of dressing and the visual language of fetishwear.
This is further explored through the extreme arch and heel-less construction, which elongates the body and subtly alters the way one stands and moves. It plays with the tension between elegance and fetish, past and present, recognition and distortion.
