This mini collection of three handcrafted pair of boots was inspired by the expressive and spiritual art of African masks, translated to walk the urban street as a statement of female empowerment.
Intentionally ignoring the idealised, western notion of the female body, this work amplifies the leg with an unconventional silhouette. It echos this intricate tribal art, which comes to life through a play on proportions. Enhancing and disfiguring, shapes are simplified and exaggerated. And the idea of body modification is used to deter modern day evil abuse.

Italics
Material: Leather / Year: 2025
Italics is a sculptural T-bar pump that merges classic men’s and women’s footwear elements into a single, cohesive design. Inspired by the subtle drama of italic type, it explores slant, structure, and the quiet power of composition—combining several footwear classics in one sharp form.
The defining T-bar strap anchors the foot—and doubles as a sculptural heel, extending seamlessly from the upper to create an unexpected silhouette. Classic men’s footwear details, like a tailored toe cap and structured counter, introduce refined tension and a fluid shape.
Like its namesake, Italics draws attention not with volume, but with intention. Its graceful curves, angled lines, and quiet merging of styles reinterpret heritage through purposeful design.
