Stroom Footwear Concept
Material: Fabric, PVC and 3d printed heel / Year: 2008
Stroom, meaning flow or electricity in Dutch, is looking for the tension between guidelines and freedom, functional restrictions and the need to challenge what we know.
The two come together in a scheme of smart fabric, wrapping around the foot and a solid heel, which functions as solid structure and icon of the footwear. When not in use this flexible shoe can be wrapped around the heel and is compactly stored in a small container.
