This design is part of a mini-collection exploring the Displacement of Form, an intentional shift of traditional footwear elements to build a new architectural vocabulary. These designs challenge our perceptions of balance and proportion through redistributing the visual weight of the shoe.
In this first pair, a restructuring of form is achieved by severing the conventional connection between the heel and the sole. The wraparound strap visually relocates the structural weight to the exterior of the foot, creating a floating silhouette and a striking visual paradox. It transforms a simple strap into the primary anchor of the footwear. The result is a cantilever form suspended in mid-air.
