This design is part of a mini-collection exploring the Displacement of Form, an intentional shift of traditional footwear elements to build a new architectural vocabulary. These designs challenge our perceptions of balance and proportion through redistributing the visual weight of the shoe.
In this third iteration, displacement is explored through directional tension and negative space. Through intentional misalignment, the silhouette stretches away from conventional form, creating a structural opening that disrupts traditional lines. The metallic finish highlights these sharp, geometric tensions, while the straight verticality of the heel provides a stark counterpoint to the triangular vacancy below. It is a study in misplacement, where the shifting of material ultimately defines the shoe’s balance and form.
