DISPLACEMENT OF FORM
This mini-collection explores what happens when familiar elements of footwear are shifted, separated and reconfigured.
Across the three designs, named Suspended, Contour and Vacancy, traditional relationships between heel, sole and upper are deliberately disrupted. Elements are rearranged, cut out or visually detached, creating unexpected relationships between mass, space and balance.
Rather than designing within the expected conventions of footwear, the project asks how far those conventions can be stretched while the object remains recognizably footwear. Each design approaches that question differently, using structure and material to create a new architectural language.
The result is a study in possibility: how a small shift in form can transform the way we perceive the entire shoe.
